Together

We could be that old couple

On the city park bench

Who sit there and snuggle

Every Thursday at noon.

We could be that old couple

Who everyone looks at

And says,

"How do they do it?"

We'll grow old together

And never say never.

We'll do the things

Which right now,

We say never, never.

Right now,

Our lives are laid before us like blank slaits, blank slates.

Right now,

We can do so many things.

We can choose to go,

Our seperate ways,

And walk life apart.

We can choose

What we want to be,

Who we are,

Who we'll become.

You could be a great philosopher,

Or some nerdy scientist

Who stares at stars,

Stares at stars,

Stares at stars.

You could be

An inspiring leader

Who changes lives,

And brings people to Christ,

To Christ.

Or even Superman,

Who knows?

I could be an artist, dancer, a masseuse,

A singer on Broadway

Every night, every night.

But even so,

I would be

Miserable,

Without you,

Without you.

So what do ya say?

Will you walk life with me?

We could be that old couple

On the city park bench

Who sit there and snuggle,

Every Thusday at noon.

We could be that old couple,

Who everyone looks at,

And says,

"How do they do it?"

We'll always be

Kind and sweet

To eachother,

You and I.

You'll bring me flowers,

And tell me sweet words,

And give me sweet kisses.

You'll be my friend,

And husband.

Together we'll be.

You and Me.
