Sunshine

You found me barely breathing.

Drowning in the vast sea that was my mind.

I saw you for the first time.

Your friendly smile and silly laugh.

 

You were the breath of fresh air that I was in dire need for.

Slowly you helped me out of the cold, icy water. 

Eventually I was no longer drowning.

I was enjoying the warmth.

And you were my sunshine.
