Strength

Location

I picked a flower and as the melody goes

You love me not it landed on

My soul froze

Its not that I expected you to wait

All you ever did was scarcely give and for all you take

All the walls I helped build, its you they now surround

I’m yelling for help but to you I make no sound

You tell me to walk behind you, I should have known

All the secrets you told, your lips are sewn

I used to think we came naturally, sporadically

Now we are a catastrophe, I would try to be okay happily

But everyone knows behind my mask is my ghost

To all his demons he might as well give a toast

Toast to me, you think you’re finally free

I’ll laugh you wish you could be

But because of your past you’ll never be free

You’re chained in; you’re too far, too deep

The power in your hands is only flesh

But the scars on my skin I will have unto death

But I know in my physical weakness you find your strength

My eyes, glossy, know you will pay

Pay for pain that I have bared

While watching you coward acting not too scared

But you should be you really should

If I was the one to give the revenge I would

But though my silky eyes I shall just smile

You know what you’ve done you’re in denial

Don’t take my truths you deserve my lies

In the end my strength will be recognized
