Stitched

Location

Tears welling in my eyes, getting ready to cry.

A past that haunts me.

You came into my life when everything was falling apart

and you stitched me back up.

You took away my hunger and made me feel

beautiful.

You took away the memories of a monster.

A monster who made me feel weak and scared

alone in the dark,

vulnerable, and degraded.

You hold me close as my body shakes,

and tell me you love me.

And tell me that I am beautiful.

I look into your eyes and see that through them

I truly am.

You came into my life when everything was falling apart.

And you stitched my heart back up

the way a doctor does.

And I know you love me,

but,

is it possible for a patient to love her doctor?
