Springtime Romance

I feel the warm, gentle breeze

Blow past the birds and bees,

And I suppose my time has come.

For the birds are-a-flitter,

And the butterflies a-flutter,

And my heartbeats copy the drum.

I'm the silver-winged dove,

Who guards peace and love,

For once, I can see past the skyline.

Under this deep blue sky,

I’ll take wing and fly

En route to my sweet valentine.
