Spark of Love

Never have I seen out country is such a state.

Each state separated by what they belive.

Instead of those beliefs bringing us together,

They split us apart.

Instead of coming together because we believe in love,

We drive others away because their love is not like ours.

Some don't like that those of the same gender love each other,

Or that those of different races have beat the hatred and found love together.

Instead of hating how other people love,

We should rejoice in the fact that people are able to find it at all.

In this country that has driven itself to hate so many,

Any spark of love should be a flame of hope

That we will someday see the other side of this struggle.
