soft.

You know you're in love when:

she is the reason that roses smell sweeter

leaves, snowflakes, rain, and petals aren't the only things that fall

now you also trip over the deep brown, contorted roots

of her hair

the way her eyes sparkle when she smiles

stays with you all day long

3 am phone calls aren't bothersome

but instead, are welcomed

gum wrapper hearts are no longer cheap tricks

rowdy high school bus rides are suddenly calm the second she sits next to you

her laughter is classical piano

graceful and comforting

wide hazel eyes are forests of winding paths and mythical creatures whispering, calling you in

begging you to get lost in them

and I wouldn't rather anything else
