The Smells That Aren't Sold at B&BW

the epitome of you:

flirtatious

gentleman

a hell-like paradise

a book with the words scribbled out

blackout poetry?

i can feel my heart

squeezing itself

second hand hug

dominant arms and simple acts

first hand heartbreak when you pull away

i’m so cold

darling

you’re warm

your heart’s temperature drops

for me

i don’t care

if your hand is sweaty

please leave it

when you depart

i’ll shiver

your absence

an invisible handprint

glow like  stinging slap of December

throb in sync

the beat of my heart

the beat of my heart

doesn’t beat for you

beats faster with the presence of you

breathe in musk and midnight humidity

the kind of camphoraceous vanilla that made me cough up

you

you

smells like old cigarettes and coffee

head on your chest

listen to your heart beat

contradicts my own

thump thump thump

beat for me

as a friend

imagine

the qualities of falling down stairs

then you

stumble

crash down

similarities

i can see the world in his eyes

not my world

our world

not in the clichè way

i see the Earth

blue ocean and green land

surrounded

its atmosphere

enticing oxygen

so intoxicating i have to breathe through cigarette butts to

filter out the chemical warfare you use as cologne

the higher you go

the lesser the oxygen

this must be true

the closer i get

you take my breath away
