Should I stay or Should I go?

Just. Friends.

You said it with such ease,
Wrote me off,
Like nothing ever existed,

You know what really got to me,
You expected me to be ok,

So of course,
I put on a strong face for you,
SO you wouldn't be guilty,
When I was really coming apart at the seams inside,

If you'd really looked into my eyes,
You would've seen me crumbling one block at a time,
My fortress falling away into the sea as you walked away,

I don't know,
Should I stay,
Or should I go,

REdirect,
REroute,
And REfocus,

REwrite and REcite,
This blight on my soul,

You tell me,
Should I stay,
Or should I go,

So I'll keep struggling forward,
Through the strip mine in my chest,

Because,
The truth is,
You made me smile like no one else could,
And it shreds me to know that,
What was there for you,
Moved on,

To know whatever was,
Whatever could have been,
Drifted away on the new wind of a coming storm.
