Sharp Tongue

With a sharp tongue and leering eyes

pain and laughter fills the sky

you smack me down

i throw my hands up to surrender

you continue to call me names and smack me around

you cause me pain and laugh at me

you feel no shame, no regret, no guilt

with a sharp tongue and leering eyes

you look down upon me and tell me to die

in the end will i be around to tell my tale or because of you will i end it all

as the tears fall down my face i am embraced by a guardian who helps me

to see you are at fault not me

you smacked me down with your sharp tongue and rough hands

not anymore you were my bully, my tormentor, my angel of death

but now i fear you no more

with a sharp tongue and leering eyes

pain and laughter filled the sky

you smacked me down

you have lost all power over me

sharp tongue no more

to me you are just a bad memory!
