Sensitive Ones

If you were sitting in a room with the people closest to you, would you now how many you'd call a real friend? You know those who call just to check up?Would be the the first you call when something's wrong?Go out and turn up?You never doubt the bond's mutually strong? Well I hope you doBut me? I've got doubtsCause some of those I wanna call friends have habits of calling me outJust say some bull like I'm the worst,They got an attitudeWon't let go of the past or too selfish to look past the small stuff I didDo examine themselves so they stay acting rude  I tend to be the one who takes the blameEven when I know I'm not wrongBecause even though I speak up my voice might not come out as strong as theirsMy power is in my words but mostly on paper I keepAt least when it comes to being honest if somebody really hurt me  I don't like being genuine with feelings of painI'd rather try to go through life not feelingBecause I know people that have abused thatThe power of speak is diminished when the emotional repercussions are so great you stallat the opening of your mouth You sensitive? Then when you're down I'll pick and prodYeah, I'll abuse that It sucks when the people close to you try to use you to release their painIn some cases, they're the ones you loveYou love and you liveYou trust and you giveYou cry and you lie with themThere's no escaping anywaysSo you get used to feeling guilty when you're really rightI will be a fight after such betrayal to convince yourself it's not the case for the rest of your life It's not your fault, calm down, you're not always wrongI guess that's why I'm here just writing this There are many who still struggle everyday to defend themselvesThey may feel alone in sensitivity, there is not help That's okay, that's okayJust keep trying your bestOne day you'll find you don't care so much about support of the restIt takes time and that's okayIn fact it's even betterThere's only one to stand the rain while they're opening the umbrellaAnd it's you
