Semper Solus

You thought this would be better
They offered you love and a mentor
But when they look at each other in that way
You are alone once again

You cannot live under the same roof
You have to wait a year to move
When you turn in for the night
You are alone once again

You know that they have their own ways
So you just grin and bear it always
But in the dark and the tears start to fall
You are alone once again

You are terrified to make yourself heard
Scared to ruin it all with just one word
The pressure of your feelings leads to pain
And you are alone once again

You cannot take it for one more day
Your soul screams and your heart breaks
You decide to numb the agonizing pain
With the bittersweet cold of being alone once again
