A single seashell on the beach

Waves overwhelm its speech

A single tile to the mosaic of the shore

Listening to the ocean roar

The waves beat against the coast

A feeling of emptiness the shell was engrossed

The moon reflects in the black sea

Whispering words of hope- set free

A single seashell plastered on the sand

Its fate left to the ocean’s command

Wanting more than anything to leave this land

A single seashell plastered on the sand

Longing for more, the shell waited

Nothing more that it hated

The water took the shell in a sweep

After the seashell had gone to sleep

Never falling into a sleep too deep

The seashell began to weep

The shore was filled with seashells galore

But we miss it if we keep wishing for more

A single seashell on the beach

A single seashell on the beach
