Save Yourself

My screams were a muffled whisper

My nightly tears – unseen.

My parents were not worried,

Because, “She’s just a normal teen.”

No one cared to listen

So nightly my wrists bled

Tears of pain and sadness.

“I’d be better off dead.”

I kissed my baby brother

And I hugged my mom goodbye.

I shut my door in silence

Before I shot myself and died.

I promise you have a future

Who knows what you could be!

So save yourself; get help.

Before you end up here with me.
