Robbed

There was a baby girl born to a family of six
Who was a beacon of love amidst the conflicts
She took her first steps under the moon light
On the shoreline of the sea, oh what a sight

Her hobbies were many yet some restricted
Teenage years stolen and social life evicted
School became a number on a bucket list
To live became a struggle but she continues to resist

Innocence lost, an innocent bled
No time to cry when families fled
Homes lost their sweetness, life lost its allure
Heaven is waiting, home is no longer secure

A rocket fired and targeted on her block
Her home destroyed when she was out for a walk
Her family and neighbors now buried alive
She ran whilst another flew for a life to deprive

She grew fervent with a rage that boiled
At the sound of the blast, she suddenly recoiled
But it was too late, her body lay among the debris
That stretched far to the shoreline of the sea

Innocence lost, an innocent bled
No time to cry when families fled
Homes lost their sweetness, life lost its allure
Heaven is waiting, home is no longer secure
