i give my glory to my country
for its independence, its freedom, its culture, its music, its history
im proud of what puerto ricans fight for everyday
it may be the same of color as the u.s.a., but dont get it twisted, we are our own country
it may be part of u.s commonwealth, but the u.s will never take away our wealth
wealth is not all about money, its about THE RED WHITE AND BLUE(PUERTO RICO THAT IS)
i celebrate the festival yesterday in remembrance of my country
besides the lord himself, i give my glory to my country
when people ask me what i am- i say puerto rican and im loud and proud
thats what you call puerto rican pride

Sometimes people are afraid to admit who they truly are, but this poem shows that we all should not just embrace our background, but be proud of it.
