Pressures of Perfection

Location

Sick and tired of the glares and grimaces

Because I look different than the rest

I could look just like them; painted faces

But it just adds to society’s judgmental mess

If the world we lived in was a different universe

And the people looked like their personality

‘The pressure to be perfect’ would be greater than words

And perfection wouldn’t even be in our vocabulary

If I was omnipotent, I wouldn’t change faces

I’d much rather change society and the media

Because if I had the power, we’d all be beautiful

And perfection would be defined by imperfection
