I write because it defines me

When I write it’s like I’m taking a journey that I’ve never gone before

On this journey it takes me higher, and higher like I’m swinging on the swings

Which fills me with laughter and smiles that makes me want to go deeper and deeper where it will never end

I write what I see around the world, as I call it different identities

It amazes me what I see all around me

Violence nonstop

The guns

The stealing

Racism, and dope dealing

The whole world has gone mad, but I want to be that number one person to

Change lives

Saves lives, and to help young kids make it through this world

I want to be the one to show them the way

It’s not going to be easy

The obstacles life will try to stop you, and block you

But if you have a dream

One common goal than you’ll make it, and you’ll be someone in life

Mabay a doctor working in the hospital

Teacher that’s teaching people today, or even a lawyer that’s helping other people fight their case

I believe you can do it

I believe there is nothing to it

All you have to do is keep your eyes on the prize, and never give up

When you do this then in the end you’re going to win

I write because I’m still in the dark holding on to the mystery box

The life of my pass that I try to keep out of my mind, so that all the fears would just go away

But I can’t keep being afraid I have to step out, and be the person that I know I can be

I have to be strong

I have to be determined

I have to let go of the key of my past

I have to fight, and keep on fighting with the lord by my side

This is why I write because I live to be heard, and poetry is what defines me
