Phoenix Tears

Her tears kiss the cold ground
Waves crash against her heart
Because of the poison that she found
Tearing her apart

His words as sweet as honey
She thought dating was a must
Until his games were no longer funny
It wasn't love, it was just lust.

His charm cut her body and her soul
His jealousy lead to suffocation
"It's for our love, don't you know?"
Emotion, spiritual corrasion.

She sat gazing into her mirror
"Why'd you leave him, what did you do?"
The tears dried, it became clearer
"Because I love you."
