Perfectly Imperfect

Finding myself smiling at the thought of you,
showing me how fun it is doing nothing just us two.
But I wish you didn’t criticize yourself so,
hold such beauty no one can dream to know.
Do the likes on your post prove your value and beauty?
Do those fancy expensive clothes make you pretty?
no, listen to me.
Know why I don’t date ugly girls?
Because they don’t exist.
You don’t need to be a size five,
to be perfect in my eyes.
You are perfectly imperfect to me.
Making me smile,
why would I let you go now?
If I had a penny for every time
I thought of you,
I’d have one penny
because you never left my mind.
Seeing you starve yourself,
thinking you’re not good enough,
all I can do is ask how?
Stop doing this, can’t you see?
look and listen to me.
Know why I don’t date ugly girls?
Because they don’t exist.
You don’t need to be a size five,
to be perfect in my eyes.
You are perfectly imperfect to me.
If I told you to make a list of everyone that loves you,
who would you put?
Your friends? sister? Brother? Dad? Mom?
The list can go on and on,
but you will always forget another.
On that list you will put the first person that belongs.
That person should be you,
don’t you love yourself too?
Look in the mirror and say, “I love you”.
Look again and mean it,
look again until you believe it.
You will not feel like a nobody,
please just listen to me.
Know why I don’t date ugly girls?
Because they don’t exist.
You don’t need to be a size five,
to be perfect in my eyes.
You are perfectly imperfect to me.
Know that, I love you and no one can judge you,
you are you and that is what you do.
