Peace My Love

Peace

my child,

peace within.

I skipped a rock

the ripples spin.

I seek the truth

I threw the stone,

but still I ponder

Where did it go?

Peace within.

Look at the lake

see that it no longer quakes.

But what was the name

of the stone I threw?

How many ripples?

Any droplets that flew?

Peace my dear,

I threw the stone

and watched the ripples as they rode.

The lake is now flat.

So I see

But the image is still inside of me.

The lake was unsteady a moment ago.

I know it, I saw it, I won't let it go.

I threw the stone.

The tense you'll see

threw is past

no more here to be.

I ponder and rest

look up at the sky

and during the day

never question the night.

Peace now my love

you let it go.

The stone was once there

made a ripple and flowed,

To sit here and wonder

what was once so clear

takes you away

from what truly is Here.
