In Our Hands

The night was once an empty dream
The trees offered no shade
I once had no hope in me
Life to me was just a game

One night then, I found the colors
To paint the darkness with my hues
One night then, the stars told me
Go, for I had nothing to lose

So let's turn back all the clocks in the world
Stop the ticking and freeze time
Watch those shooting stars come true
And come make something of this life

Let's catch the rain in our hands
Let it slip through our fingers like buttered honey
Let's catch those broken dreams from the grave
Embark together on a beautiful journey
