Broken Glass

Location

Once upon a time there was a wandering child

Who found herself in a cold, dark wasteland.

Once it was her safe haven, now her never-waking nightmare.

She searches in the fog for the answers.

The broken glass she walks on only pushes her-

Pushing further into the dark abyss.

She searches for the answers buried in ashes.

Only finding herself back underground.

Suddenly a voice calls from the light in her heart

Beckoning her back to her sanity.

She wakes and finds her scars have grown

Crawling like vines further up her arms.

"What was that voice?", she asks herself

"Who pulled me from my self-inflicted hell?"

She knows the answer, but no one would understand

That the music everyone found so unimportant

Was what could keep her heart beating.
