Oasis of Serenity
You came unexpectedly in the night
And assured me that you do not bite
I let you take me away
As we ran toward the bay
This spot that we would call ours
Lying quietly beneath the stars
I sat up in question
Wondering how I conquered this depression
You respected me at my lowest
When my heart would beat its slowest
You understood just how I felt
With sadness on a conveyor belt
You give me the confidence that I need
From these demons, I have been freed
Anger and sorrow are merely no more
Now that you have opened this door
I trust you with my life
For you took away the knife
