Nurtured

Too many people,
Not enough to go around.
Lines crowding from the steeple,
And the answer is still not found.

The sun rises in the east and sets in the west,
Yet, some are more fortunate than thy neighbor.
Humanity: put to the test,
And an opportunity that will be missed without the required labor.

We are all the same type, species, breed.
Only 20% of the world is not in need.
Humanity is left with diamonds and gold over here,
And a lack of drinking water over there.

Change is inevitable,
Why not change for the better?

A change for the bountiful skies to rain down wealth in the form of food.
The clouds releasing their picnic baskets into the barren lands that are withering away in starvation.
Wealthy brokers, middle class families, poverty stricken nude,
Together united as one single nation.

Eroded deserts see God's tears.
Children gifted with knowledge.
Families that survive together for years.
Wastelands soon to be overgrown with foliage.

Equal opportunities for life-love-full stomachs- shelter-and education for the young and old alike.
Closing the gap is the next step into the future,
Mothers, sisters, fathers, brothers on strike,
Until the underprivileged become nurtured.

Equality in health; equality in safety; equality in nutrition.
That's the change I want to see.
The opportunities are endless within this vision,
Come and hop on board, help save the world with me.
