Nothing Kills More than Grief

Even when you have fallen asleep

After so many years of quiet release

The pit of pain makes you weak.

Hearing the name of the one that's gone

Telling all stories, short and long

Nothing could make me feel more wrong

Than hearing that she is gone.

Grief is not known from the part

Its a feeling from the broken heart

Tears that have fallen long and far

To the bruises and the bleeding scars.

Shame proclaims its mystery of pain

Suffering and wondering, why her good name?

That the sins of the sinner go un-blamed

Losers and winners just become the same.

Nothing Kills More than Grief

Even when you have fallen asleep

After so many years of quiet release

The pit of pain makes you weak.
