Dear Children,
I want you to be happy,
With that in mind I have two things to say.
Don't be like me, and find a way to make a difference.
High school pushed me to my limit and continued once reaching the threshold.
I don't want that for you.
I want you to enjoy school,
I want you to be challenged,
But not enough so that everyday is a struggle to not think about ending it.
I want you to enjoy life and cherish it.
You should not have to wear a mask of gallows humor,
You should not hid your feelings.
I will be lucky if I can inspire one child.
But you, you can inspire all.
Find success,
Find happiness,
Find inner peace.
Make a difference in the you community,
Your nation,
Even the world if you set your mind to it.
You are the next in line.
With this in mind, I only have two things to say...

This poem is about:
Me
My family
My community
My country
Our world
