My Roommate

Thu, 06/12/2014 - 12:10 -- ryannk

Like a dancer,

She skips, twirls, leaps

A ribbon of happiness

Trailing from her toes

As they brush the pavement

Ever so slightly,

Lightly she bounds

Up the steps,

Down the hall,

Into the room

Where she

Heaves a gentle sigh,

A smile playing

At the corner of her mouth,

And I know

For certain,

And for sure…

That today has been

A good day.
