My Idenitity Can't Be Defined: I am... Scholarship Slam

My identity can't be defined

By simplistic, pedestrian words

You couldn't flip to my page in a dictionary

Because I can not be defined

Let alone on a single page

If words alone could define me

I would take up hundreds of pages

Thousands of pages

I identify

With a variety of terms

But just because I label myself

Does not mean I am contained inside these words:

Genderfluid, Sapiosexual,

Jewish, and somewhat Logical,

Bisexual but almost Pansexual

I connect with those terms

But they don't summarize me

They're just part of my core

The center of who I am

The beginning of a hundred-page definition

Of Who Is That Person Called Ari

Who Is That Person With The Brown Hair, and Blue Eyes

Who Is That Person With The Freckles and the Curved Figure

Who Is That Person With

Confidence and Swagger

With exaggerated expressions and a fierce sense-of-self

With strong opinions and obvious feminism

Who Is That Person

Standing Over There

That person, I say, is someone who

Can't Be Defined.
