My Garden

Mon, 04/24/2017 - 20:11 -- jpruitt

My garden is a thing of beauty
Bursting with all the colors of the rainbow—pinks, red, yellow and purple
Each petal is so delicate and fragile
It is an ever-changing kaleidoscope of new blooms
Each bloom is unique but they come together to create a tapestry of color
The texture of the smooth , waxy tulips or fluffiness of the peonies provide something for the eye to see everywhere
The fragrant sweet smells of daffodils, the perfume of roses, the overpowering lilies
My garden is filled with life —bees buzz and toads hide
There is anticipation in watching the garden transform from sprouts to buds and blooms
There is satisfaction in the hard work that created you
You are my peaceful place where life is calm and quiet.
