My first and last

inhale
exhale
it's twilight
and you've lit my flammable heart, created an aching kindle in my soul.
i feel your tabbaco lips on this early somber night, my hands are hesitant to reminisce the warmth of you.
you whisper false promises in my dismal dreams, poison i can't get enough of.
you're the distraction between my fingers, a kiss that drowns me, the warm embrace from the gray.
i smell your ashy aroma on my old summer sweater, a stain i can never wash away from my memories.
yes, you are my bad habit.
inhale
exhale
for now i bask in the afterglow but
you'll be the nicotine i relapse from tonight.
