My Best Friend

She was always there, waiting for you to come home. No one could hurt you when you were with her. She was there when no one else was. Always willing to sit and listen to your problems or worries. When you were upset she was there to comfort you. She was and still is my best friend. She lived longer than what the vets said. Pooky never gave up. Pooky always pushed herself to do what no one else thought she could do; running and jumping as if she were a young pup and not ill. When it was her time to go she knew it was okay to leave me, that it was now my turn to find my own way in this world. She knew that I had and would have many friends to share my good times and bad, but she would always be my number one friend that would never be forgotten.
