A mother's death

Tears in your heart, a crack in your soul
I tried to save you,
to show you there's more

More than harm and hurt
More than sadness and cries
when I told you I love you, I didn't lie

So why did you leave
this earth far too soon
When you needed me and I needed you.

You didn't have to hurt yourself
But I understand why you did

yet I'll never understand why you left me alone.
Your daughter, your child, your life, your kid.

Mommy I miss you, and heaven is so far away
I wish you didn't hurt yourself
I wish I could have loved the pain away.
