More Than A Nigga

Location

We want to see these black boys fly

Cops rather see these black boys die

Unarmed, non voilent, minding theirs

Shot down, brutally beaten, unjustly killed

Browmskin, lightskin, darkskin

All victims, inferior to white skin

Another son, cousin, brother

Murdred by those meant to protect

Another father, uncle, best friend

Walking down the wrong street

At the wrong time of the night

At the wrong time of the day

Looking a little too meanincing

In mr.officers racists eyes

Doing nothing to warrant an arrest

Doing nothing to deserve rounds to the chest

Our boys wren't killers till the boys

Turned hoods into war zones

Our boys weren't hostile

Till they couldn't walk around

In hoodies without assumed to be up to no good

Officer how about you assume the position

Officer how about you get on the ground

Officer how about you feel what it's like

To know your freedom dances on a wobbly line

These black boys punished for doing nothing wrong

These black boys whipped by slave masters

History repaeting itself, did we not leatrn from the past?

For the Mike Brown's, Oscar Grant's, Shawn Bell's,

For the Eric Garner's, Ramarley Gram's, Danroy Henry Jr's

For every black boy that has to watch his back

Beacuse he never knows when a red dot will be glued to it

You are better than the system

Set out to destroy you

You are more than just a colored face

More than just a sag in the pants

More than gang voilence

More than steroetypes, pre judgmenets

And deep rooted white supremacy

More than these justiceless cases

Occuring right here in this forsaken nation
