Mom

Although I may not show it,

My mother is all I need in life

And I know it.

She's the reason why I strive to live.

She's like my guardian, my friend, my sister

Who only has love and wisdom to give

For me to blossom in a world filled with grief and tragedy.

I wouldn't trade her over for anything else in the world.

A dazzling, hardworking, and fearless mentor

Who guides me through tough times with words and actions.

"Big girls don't cry," she tells me,

Wiping away my tears ever so gently.

Although I may not show it,

My mother is all I need in life

Because she loves me unconditionally,

And I know it.
