A Modern Fairytale~a

As a little girl, I've always dreamt of being one of those Disney princesses.

Long, flowing bodacious hair. A slim , hourglass figure...but let's face it.

I will NEVER be like like one of those princesses,

sure they introduced the first African American princess but,

they have yet to make a princess with a more curvaceous  figure,

with stretch marks, or a little pudge, or someone short.

I think we need a bit more diversity.

As a little girl, I grew up to believe that I had to look or act a certain way,

in order to be or feel accepted in society.

That's not always the case, I've learned to love myself the way I am.

I don't have to add filler to my already plump lips, do strenuous waist training,

just to get the perfect hourglass figure.

This is My Modern Fairytale
