The Mirror

There is a mirror that knows all truths

One glance and you'll learn who you really are

Every year it is looked at by the youths

We come to see if we will be a star

It's a night that I have looked forward to

I will finally learn who really I am

But when I look upon the mirror I find it can't be true

The mirror is shattered and it has to be a scam

All I see is a few pieces of it still standing

With the rest of it no-where-to be found

I ask around about what others saw to find an understanding

Like usual everyone just looks at the ground

Nobody ever tells what they saw in the mirror

I wonder if it's cause everyone's reflection is broken

Or if they saw something clearer

Maybe the mirror has just misspoken

What if the mirror was trying to tell me something

That it's okay not to understand yourself

The unknown can sometimes be trusting

Since we are forever changing, do we really need to find oneself?

We hide what we see in the mirror and show a different version

It might be because we don't know yet what we are seeing

It might be because you are more fond of the diversion

All we can do is learn on the why of who we are as a human being
