I'm not as skinny as I'm supposed to be 

and don't have flawlwss skin. 

My laugh is a little obnoxious,

but hey this is me. 

I don't cake my face with makeup 

to live up to the "beauty standard"

Or wear the right clothes to advertise my femininity,

but hey this is me. 

My legs get really hairy

and lets face it my armpits too

I know that's not really "pretty",

but hey this is me.

I used to let boys use me

because that's all I've ever known

Some people label that as pathetic,

but hey this is me. 

I don't want to live by a rulebook

or by someone else's views

I'm gonna do my own thing and be proud,

because I am me.
