Love Your Beautiful Black Skin

You were made the color of oil.

So those who strike you will surely be burned.

You were made from rich dark earth.

Giving fertility for all your dreams to grow.

You are the color of midnight-sky.

The stars glitter inside your deep brown eyes.

Your hair is coarse and coils outward.

Made to mimic the flares of the sun.

I gave you large full hips on both of your sides.

For your children to be birthed easily with heart touching cries.

I gave my markings to you around your eyes.

To ensure that your beauty will be a unique prize.

There's a absent smile hidden behind the pain inside

That's is why I blessed you with cheeks so high.

I made your lips full so when you kiss with a soft supple touch.

The one you love will remember you by your heart and your love.

The palms of your hands a pure golden hue.

To ensure everything you touch shines like you.

You have thick bones, strong in stature.

So that you may be freed from those who capture.

All the features of a breathtaking view.

I took those features and created you.
