Love Deprived, Unexpectedly Revived

Location

My tears are like fire,

they burn down my ruined face.

Leaving a trail of lost desire,

Can they be diluted by grace?

I'm awake, yet dropping dead in sleep.

My blood has dried hard in my veins.

My soul is chained captive; it silently weeps.

Who will my heart take and gain?

Who are 'they' to tell me

That I am shattered and lost?

I know I'm less than I should be.

Joy was once what I sought.

My ears choose what to hear.

My lips speak of wanted lies.

Finding the truth of me is what I fear.

My heart once searched, but no longer tries.

My eyes look at my horrible reflection.

The mirror suddenly obliterates.

Shards of pain hit me with rejection.

Cuts deep; bloody tears it creates.

"Is my soul of worth?" Is the question my mind formulates.

My life shall I viciously take??

I jump, praying to end my self hate.

His arms wrap around me before its too late.

He pulls me in; a warm embrace.

His love is the only air I breathe.

My pain he has erased.

I lay beside him to feel my heartbeat.

It makes a beautiful rhythmic sound sound,

His is matching the pace of mine, now new.

He lifted my soul which was once down.

This love I feel is absolutely true.

He successfully fulfills my needs.

Compassion he continuously shows.

My heart he can rapidly read.

He understands me, that I know.

He is gentle and kind.

Him I deserve not.

This love, where did I find?

Comfort and peace he has brought.

He held me during the dark storm.

The waves no longer crash against me.

He knows I have been worn.

He completely revives me.

He accepts me as I am; a beautiful mess.

I look in the depths of his pure eyes,

I feel joy in my once vacant chest.

All my self loathing instantly dies.

I feel complete and utter redemption.

I didn't think it was possible to feel this way.

When his arms are around me I feel freedom.

Right beside him I will forever stay.

He is mine and I am his.

This is one amazing bond of love.

If I know one thing, it is this:

No one will ever love me like he does.
