Lost Between The Lines

Getting lost between the lines

But following all of the signs

Beloved friends come to an end

While struggling to defend

Soilders brought upon in life

Only to be struck by a knife

Seeking shelter from the terror

Only from all that feels nothing but an error

A quiet echo on uncertain steps

Many coming upon regrets

Unsure of what to believe

Many fall back retrieve

Lives rain down on bitter earth

Putting in one's two cents worth

Getting lost between the lines

But following all of the signs

Beloved friends come to an end

While struggling to defend

Somewhere long the field lies his pride

But all he can seem to think is of his beloved bride

Struck with emotion

He stays dedicated to his devotion

Regrets upon regrets

Boom he forgets

Sudden explosions

Dwelling on convictions

The enemy retrieves

All that's left is to believe

Hope and grace

Soldier's hearts in space

All gratitude goes out to these brave men

Whose heroic mind is to defend

Getting lost between the lines

But following all of the signs

Beloved friends come to an end

While struggling to defend
