To the lost and broken girl that I was

To the lost and broken girl that I was:

Why do you cry?

What happened to you does not define you.

The rumors and emotions will fade soon.

The "friends" who left,

Did not know you nor care.

You were a victim,

Not a whore.

He tried to ruin you,

Do not let him destroy your beauty and confidence.

You will grow to express yourself,

Without caring about what people say.

Don't end it now,

You have so much potential.

The awards you will recieve,

All due to your own creativity.

He does not control you anymore.

As you rise,

You will teach others to persevere.

You meet a boy during your junior year,

He won't be like the rest.

The inner beauty is all he sees,

Not the "slut" others thought you to be.

He will never give up on you,

As you will not give up on him.

You will love him unconditionally,

As he will adore you just as much.

You are stronger than you know,

Love yourself as you begin such a wonderful journey.

Everyone has a past.
