A Life Without You

I don’t want to let go

Knowing that you might hold on

I don’t want to leave

Without saying my goodbyes

I don’t want to yearn

For what could have been

I don’t want to stay awake

Letting the unknown take its place

I don’t want to fear

Knowing that you’ll never be here

I don’t want to keep dreaming

Knowing that all my desires are left depleting

I don’t want to be taunted by the nonexistence

To live in world illusioned with misconceptions

I don’t want to live a life

Knowing that you’re not mine
