life

If life was a rock

I'd be the earth drawn within it

If life was a rock

I'd be stuck between it

inside

Unable to see the cold reptile

that lies beneath me

Unable to see the spark of light upon the horizon

But as I realize

I am the earth

Drawn within the rock

I am the rock

Every pigment

Every mineral

I begin to see the light

The light within me
