A Letter To My Older Brother

We thought it was a typical Sunday,

Little did we know it’d be a nightmare,

I heard the news and had nothing to say,

How could I? Life cannot be this unfair.

Rushing to the hospital, tears flowing,

That particular car ride is a blur,

I’m not religious but i was praying,

Wondering how god could let this occur.

The long wait was so damn agonizing,

As they tried hard to bring back your heart beat,

Yesterday you were happy and living,

Today the doc gives an apology.

Never will you be forgotten by me,

I work to make you proud hoping you see.
