A Letter to My Dad

Dear dad,

Hey remember me?

It’s me, your princess

It’s been a decade since we last saw each other

How’s it like in Heaven?

You had a hard life

But you kept fighting

Locked up

They almost didn’t let you go

One puff

One drink

Ol lord he’s crazy!

Lock him up!

You was a rolling stone

One girl, one night

But you always came back to me

One day you didn’t.....

So many tears

So much pain

Nothing compares to the love you had for me and my brother

I regret taking those late nights talking for granted

Guess I always thought you was going to be there

You used to tell me “One day everything will change”

I didn’t expect things to change so quick

What I wouldn’t give to have one more conversation with you

You was supposed to teach me about boys

You had my back when nobody else did

You was my best friend

Most importantly my dad

My only dad

Mother was gone with the wind

But You stayed

Now you’re gone

Damn

..............I miss you

Please come back.
