A Letter from the Beyond

Fri, 08/04/2017 - 00:31 -- Aleona

Dear Brother,

Do not fear for me any longer. I am safe in a small town near the forest's northern side.

I have found a group of others who are just like us. They say she had done this many

times before, shifting her home into the place of dreams after taking a glance into the

lives of children in despair.

They called her "Mother Illusion" for her strange abilities. Her reign of terror going as

far back as the age of great grandfather's childhood. We have done such a good thing,

my brother.

So, why do I feel so awful?

She was a terrible creature, eating children. Even yet, she was a creature. She killed,

what makes us any better for killing her? She lived, breathed, and we could have

helped her. Perhaps we could have had a policeman come to help her and us.

This is silly thinking given to her actions, but I can't help but wonder....

Please forgive me for these thoughts brother. I do not mean to sympathize with her.

I'll see you in another lifetime, my brother.

Your dear sister at rest,

Gretel
