Let the Pieces Fall

From the heavens the pieces descend,
never stopping, for they have no end.
Twisting, Turning, trying to perfectly bend,
lines allow them to blend.

So many areas to place these pieces,
take too long and the game will cease.
If you lose, it's all right to be at ease,
try. try again please!

Since the handheld machine,
from shades of black to colors red, blue, green,
players can become truly mean
whenever their scores want to be reverently seen.

Tiles come, never leave holes,
for empty spaces can swallow you whole.
Dedicate your heart, body, and soul,
and you can achieve your goal.

Wherever they are, let the pieces fall,
their placement on the board is your call.
Eliminate as many as you can, try and get them all,
but a max out's order truly is tall.

An endless vortex of what can and will be made,
there is no need to confuse color with shade,
gravity is illogical, preventing a cascade,
if only the pieces were more easily laid.

Make a line, from one to double to triple, to four,
and watch your levels soar.
You know you are a gamer down to the core,
whenever you want to play Tetris, all the more.
