Leap of Faith

Alone. Dazed and confused I stared at nothing in particular. I felt small and insignificant. I was young and inexperienced. My breath came shallow and rapid. What would happen? I did not know. I jumped plunging to an imminent death below. He caught me His gentle grasp holding me, soft hands around my slender waist. He gently set me on my feet. I felt a tear of joy run down my face. I was no longer alone. He was here so I didn't have to be afraid. I had taken the leap of faith.
