Kitten In A Jungle

Soft little kitten, not quite yet a cat.

Sick of the secure and warm caring lap.

Wanted to explore and do things on his own.

He always dreamed of finding out about the unknown.

Stumbled in a jungle barely making his way.

Then a sly grown panther watched him just lay.

Came up to the kitten telling him not to fear,

then gained his trust by the end of the year.

Told the little kitten to drink some water.

Then the little kitten didn't feel so good.

The sly grown panther didn't help, just walked away

while the kitten just laied.

Soft little kitten, never a cat.

This poem is based off of my oldest brother leaving home to explore New York by himself and got caught up in something he could have avoided and ended up commiting suicide. I miss him everyday and this poem is not bashing him. Its just my creative way of telling his story.
